The North Mountain members decided this year to participate in some civil disobedience by blowing the sirens during the Fireman's Parade. Many companies this year decided that they had their fill of the decades old rule of no sirens and let it rip. The Mountain recieved numerous cheers and standing ovations from parade watchers along the route. North Mountain was even publicly appauded in the Winchester Star by residents in letters to the editor. The siren issue, while always controversial made more news headlines than ever this year. Look for the crew from the Mountain on the sidelines next year cheering on the next round of protesters. To all those who loved it... Thank You.
